Project Update

I feel as though I've been making decent progress over the time I've been working on this project, but there's still plenty of work yet to do.

Getting just the buttons to work properly was a pretty big pain (largely due to a little thing called "keyboard ghosting", but also getting used to the new Unity Input System), but I've been stuck for a good while on how to properly generate the notes to be played for each track. After all, the goal of my project was to create a rhythm game that places more emphasis on melody and tones rather than just matching the beat, so finding an efficient means of reflecting accurate pitch data from the songs has proven a pretty important issue.

While I have been able to figure out a method of creating a serviceable scale of notes from a given lead track, getting them to land at the proper moment in time (while still being visible well in advance) is a problem I'm still a little stumped on, but I should be able to figure it out eventually. However, given that such main mechanics are still unfinished and how I'd personally appreciate more of a setting than just playing music in some nondescript blue void, I get the feeling I have a lot of work ahead of me.

Ultimately, the project's been a rather interesting challenge to work on, and although I can definitely see now that I probably set my expectations a little too high, I still intend to do the best I can to see it through.
